I want to share with you.
My name is Lori Powers, this site is not really about me, but revealing to you the One who called me out of darkness and brought me into the Light.
One day in 1986 while putting laundry away, suddenly I heard the voice and felt the presence of The Lord fill the room. I turned around and found myself responding to Jesus by calling Him Lord. Part of what He said was, “Lori, give your life to Me, I am going to make you an example.” When I said yes, my journey into the True Light began. You may be saying, “I don’t want religion.” However, Jesus is not a religion or a denomination. God sent Jesus into the world as the way to reconcile people back to The Lord God Almighty for eternity. God gave us a free will to choose who we will serve rather than make us robots. I want to help enlighten your spiritual understanding so that you can make the right choices to know Him and fulfill your God ordained purpose and have eternal life with Almighty God! God gifted and anointed me, a person who was not good in grammar, to write, as just one more way to reach people with His Light and Truth. Enjoy and thank you for reading!
A community of Believers
- As believers in Christ, first we know that God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. All who receive him, those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. So we are now the family of God, the Body of Christ, "the Ecclesia the called out ones" and not only are we a spiritual family but the team of Light to stand together in Christ. There are only two forces" Light/Truth and darkness/deception" Jesus came as the True Light, and His light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. We are the salt and light for Jesus Christ, to be a positive influence in the world shining brightly, to help guide others to Jesus the Light source, and bring glory to God while helping transform the world around us. If we learn to sow to the Spirit, rather than the flesh, we will continue to walk in the light and overcome darkness.
- The powers of darkness are on a mission to deceive, kill, steal and destroy. One way is through pride which causes us to not see clearly and even become deceived or fall into sin or worse, away from God. Another way is to cause division in our homes, the church, our cities, states, and nations, because where there is strife and division a house cannot stand. But where there is humility and unity God commands the blessings! I challenge you to make it your daily mission to be quick to repent of sin, and sow to the spirit, walk in love and unity as best as you can in the present situation you may be in.
- There is a harvest of souls who want to know the truth and make it to heaven. As spiritually baptized born-again believers in Christ, we are to humbly, yet boldly show the way and truth and love of God with our lives submitted to Father God through Jesus Christ!
- As the team of Light, we should pray and partner with Jesus to advance the Kingdom of God in the earth that changes the atmosphere and be ready to share the Good News of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation!
- Pray, I confess that I am a sinner, and I need a Savoir who can wash away my sin. I believe Jesus died for my sins and that He rose from the dead, so I repent of my sins and ask Jesus to be my savoir and the Lord over my life. I submit myself to God and I resist the devil, and I choose to live my life for God in Christ Jesus. I confess Jesus is my Lord and Savoir. Thank you Lord for your love and mercy and for saving me. I now declare that I will throw off the sin that has entangled me, and press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me for. I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus! Amen! (John 1:5,12, 3:16-17, 10:10, Matthew 5:13-16, Philippians 3:12-14, Romans 1:16).
We Believe
- There is One True Most High God and there are three persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:2,27, Matthew 28:19, I John 5:7, John 17:3) .
- The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21).
- Salvation comes through believing and confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and repenting of your sins. (Acts 2:38, 4:12; Romans 10:9-10, John 14:6, Matthew 4:17).
- Jesus Christ came from Heaven to earth, He came to seek and to save the lost. To be born and live as a man, conceived of the Virgin Mary, the only begotten Son of the Father God in Heaven. Jesus was crucified, buried and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father in Intercession praying for us. ( Luke 19:10, Isaiah 53, 1 Peter 2:24, Luke 1:26-33, Hebrews 7:25)
- We are justified (declared righteous under the blood of Jesus) when we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, then we are born again by His spirit coming into our spirit. (Acts 13:38-39, Romans 5:1, I Corinthians 6:11, Mark 1:5).
- You must be Born Again in order to spend eternity with God and Jesus! Those who reject Jesus Christ will enter into eternity, but in hell, which was made for the fallen angels and demons. Those who die who are in Christ shall share in His glory in Heaven for eternity. (Daniel 12:2, Matthew 7:21, 25:46, John 5:29, Jude 1:7).
- After salvation is water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:11, Matthew 28:18-19, John 14:6).
- The Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives the utterance so we can pray in the spirit which helps us know what to pray in our natural understanding. Also we can be used in the nine Gifts of the Spirit and the continuation of the ministry of Jesus, through believers (Acts 2:4,10:38, 10:44-46, 19:6, Romans 8:26-27, I Corinthians 12:4-11, Mark 16:15-18).
- Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, as an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus Christ to remember His sacrifice for us, which symbolizes the new covenant. The elements of bread and wine or "juice" are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Communion is a testament of a believer’s faith in the atoning work of the cross. (1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-26, Luke 22:19,20).
- The sacredness of marriage between one man & one woman. (Ephesians 5:31-33, Ephesians 6:1-4, Hebrews 13:4, Matthew 19:5; Leviticus 18:22, Genesis 2:24).
